Christopher W. McGurk (54), of Arlington, VA, passed away suddenly, Saturday, June 3, in Erie, PA. Mr. McGurk was born October 4, 1962 in Cambridge, MA, the son of Col. (Ret.) Frank and Mary McGurk, currently of Arlington, VA. Chris lived in France, Germany, and multiple states throughout the United States during his father's military career and spent a majority of his adult life in Northern Virginia. He attended the University of New Hampshire and worked as a Chief Financial Officer for numerous companies in the Washington Metro Area.

Mr. McGurk is survived by his beloved children, Dr. Zachary McGurk and his wife Amanda Chuderewicz, of Philadelphia, PA; Brittany and Ian McGurk, both of Alexandria, VA.

Mr. McGurk enjoyed supporting his children's sporting and scouting through coaching and camping when they were younger, and attending his son's rowing races through high school and college. He was very proud of his children. He will be remembered for his humor, his love of history and politics, and for his love for Dogs.

He will be missed by his brother Wayne and his wife Jennifer McGurk and their son Spencer of Dallas, Texas; his beloved sister Allison McGurk and her daughter Ansley Wade, of Arlington, VA, his aunts, uncles, cousins, and his loving partner Julie Biebel of Erie, PA. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Frank and Margaret McGurk, late of Dunbarton, NH. and Vasco and Ann Lima, late of Cambridge, MA.

Visitation hours from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on June 9, 2017 at French and Rising Funeral Home, 17 Mast Street, Goffstown, NH. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Lawrence Church, Goffstown, NH on June 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place immediately after Mass at Dunbarton Center Cemetery, Dunbarton, NH.

Memorial donations may be made to the SPCA of Northern Virginia.
